Laid Back

Aussies sure have a weird way of gettin things done...
Perhaps im just spoiled...but growin up in uptight-ass-cheeks and modern Singapore...service is done efficiently and almost methodically...there's almost never a delay and when something's promised...it's delivered...
Melbournians...and Australians in general...for all it's globalisation and modern infrastructure...still adopt their 'No worries mate' attitude...when they tell you "Yeah it'll be deliver tomorrow"...it's really "Yeah expect it in 5 workin days..."
Food in a cafe/restaurant takes at least 20 minutes to arrive...hey mates...im starvin...how bout steppin it up a 'lil...
My dryer/television took a week each to be delievered to my apartment...hey mates...my clothes are damp, smell musty and i believe my entertainment is restricted to just the radio...guess why?
Internet broadband is finally enabled with Gavin's return...and gee wheez...we have to wait 5-10 workin days for the set-up..hey mates...im a PC-savvy bloke...it's been 3 whole weeks since ive blogged regularly...how bout lendin a hand to him...
I spend 45 minutes waitin for a tram on Sunday night...where temperatures dip to 15 degrees..im wearin just a tee shirt and my nipples are cold and hard...yay i look like Batman...hey mates...i do believe people still go out on weekends...please pull them sock of yers and operate the bloody system...

On the plus side...turns out RMIT...in its usual 'No worries mate' approach to life...hasnt really processed the International Students' enrolment applications...so here i am...several hours before my very first lecture...havin no tutorials to book online...coz Aussies are laid back and everythin is fuss-free...
Im hungry...and am headin home...i wonder if there's food in the fridge...
