Hello everyone...yes rub those bleary eyes of yers and settle down them jumpy nerves...coz im alive...yup...first post in Melbourne...
Im sittin in a computer shop that provides computer sevices/upgradin...as it is my apartment isnt hooked up yet...and since it's been 10 glorious days that ive gone online...i figured an hour or two online wouldnt hurt...besides...my fingers have gone all itchy from the constant need to write...
It's been a wonderful 10 days...oh wait...actually...i would like to take that back...i spent the first week sufferin from the worst ulcers and colds ever...i blame the sudden change in temperature and environment...it's like havin a 18-wheeler slammin into you head-on...my body didnt really had the time to adjust...
Then there are the weird nights when you're all alone as your girlfriend works the unearthly night shifts in the hospital...it feels weird to be all alone in a new country...cut off from the Internet...few friends...thousands of miles from familar people...it takes some gettin used to....
But those are the horrible parts...the best parts?
Food! Glorious food...im been stuffin myself silly with Italian...Greek...Lebanese...American...Indian...takeaways...eat-ins...yay...who wana get fat with me?
Then there's the weather! Since recoverin from the aftermath of the climate change...ive been revellin in the cold and humidity (or the lack thereof)...it feels wonderful to walk out in the cold...and not rememberin when you last perspired...honestly...the last time i perspired? Back in Singapore...that's 10 days ago for ya...
And the television! Whoopee-doo...they've got wonderful series here...unlike the megalomaniac of a corporation that's run by a Communist government back home...networks here dont subscribe to the rivalry and intense competition of prime-time tv...why? Coz every fuckin time slot is prime-time tv! Gosh...what have i seen since i got here...ehm...Desperate Housewives...Lost...CSI and her sisters...Without a Trace...Law & Order: SVU...omg...im typin gibberish...
Installation of Internet access takes bout 2 weeks here...im bout to sign up for a plan in a few days' time...as it is im gona be visitin this computer shop rather regularly till then...
Gota go now...so much to do...so much to see...
